Our tree planting ceremony in memory of all babies lost through miscarriage took place on Sunday 22nd April 2018 in Corkagh Park. It was a really special ceremony and lifted the hearts of all those who attended.
Thank you to Maureen, John, Susan, Kate, Suzy, Johnny and Katie who all took part in the ceremony to sing or read. Thank you also to the park rangers who dug out the space for the Cherry Blossom tree in such a beautiful setting and provided shovels for people to help plant our tree.
The setting of the Doves free at the end whilst Katie sung a heart warming rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was really beautiful and Johnny’s poem “The Seed” brought a tear to many a eye.
If you would like to visit the Corkagh Park to see our tree, park in St Johns Estate Car park. Head towards the pet farm, it is about a 10 minute walk from the car park. Our cherry blossom tree is planted in the grass area just before and to the right of the pet farm. The tree is planted in the centre of a group of trees and is planted very near the Tree of Hope.
