If you are finding it difficult to deal with the loss of a baby through miscarriage, please know that you are most welcome to come to the meeting whether you lost your baby recently or long ago.

Caragh Pastoral Council are holding a special Memorial service for babies, who passed away through miscarriage, still birth and Neo Natal deaths on Friday 17th November, 2017 7.30 pm in Our Lady & St Joseph Church, Caragh, Naas, Co Kildare.

Parents, siblings, grandparents and anyone who wish to remember these little babies are all welcome.

UMH Limerick Service of Remembrance - Sun 5th Nov 2017

University Maternity Hospital Limerick holds its annual remembrance service at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ennis Road, Limerick, on Sunday, November 5th at 3p.m.

We invite parents who have experienced the death of their baby/pregnancy loss at any stage, together with their family, friends and hospital staff to this service.

This service is organised by the Counselling Department and Midwifery staff at UMHL. people are very welcome to stay after the service for a chat and a cup of tea.

To ensure sensitivity towards newly bereaved families, a quiet space will be available at the church for crying babies/young children.

The service is an annual event which aims to acknowledge the pregnancies that were lost and the lives of babies who have died through ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death. We welcome parents and families whose babies may have died many years ago as well as those more recently bereaved.

The National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street are holding a Service of Remembrance on Sunday 1st October 2017 in St. Andrew's Church, Westland Row, Dublin, 2 at 3.00 p.m. All who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss are welcome to attend.

Our Lady of Lourdes Drogheda would like to invite parents, siblings and extended family members to attend their Annual Remembrance Ceremony 1st October at 3 pm in The Auditorium Medical Missionaries of Mary Convent, Beechgrove Drogheda. Remembering pregnancy and loss and babies and children who have died.

Parking is available at The Lourdes Church, Hardmans Gardens, Drogheda.

New Memorial Stone in Rath, Tralee, Co. Kerry

A Memorial Stone has been placed in Rath Cemetery, Tralee, Co. Kerry to commemorate all babies that have died before, during and after birth.

A Blessing / dedication of the Memorial Stone will be held on Saturday 26th August 2017 at 11am.
Everyone is welcome to attend - whether or not you have experienced the loss of a child, you might like to come along and support those who have.

Service of Remembrance Lusk 11th June 2017

The Parish of St. MacCullin's Lusk will be holding its Annual Service of Remembrance in memory of all babies who died before, during or after birth on Sunday 11th June 2017 @ 3pm.

All parents, siblings, grandparents and anybody affected by the loss of a baby are very welcome to attend, regardless of whether the loss was recent or long ago.

After the Service, you are welcome to join us in the Parish Centre for some light refreshments and a friendly chat.

Miscarriage Remembrance Run Claddagh 28th May 2017

Galway Support Meeting Thursday 9th March 2017

A Support Group meeting for Galway will take place this Thursday 9th March at 7 pm in the Raheen Woods Hotel, Athenry, Galway.

If you have been through the experience of miscarriage, this is a meeting where you can share your story or listen to others who have been through a similar situation. Partners welcome also. Dawn O ' Connor from the Miscarriage Association of Ireland will facilitate the meeting.

VHI Women's Mini Marathon June 2017

The VHI Women's Mini Marathon takes place Bank Holiday Monday 5th June at 2 pm. It is a 10 km race (6.2 miles).

Entry is now open. - see www.vhiwomensminimarathon.ie for more details. Get your entry in soon and if you are fundraising - The Miscarriage Association of Ireland ask you to consider them as your charity for which to raise funds.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Meetings in Mayo

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group meetings for Mayo will take place on the dates below in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford, Co Mayo at 7.30 pm.

Geraldine Sheerin is organising and facilitating independent Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Groups in Swinford, Co. Mayo.

The meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm in the Gateway Hotel Swinford.

The dates for the next five months are : January 18th, February 15th, March 15th. April 19th & May 17th. The meetings are for any parent who has lost a baby during pregnancy or infancy.

National Standards for Bereavement Care

The National Standards for Bereavement Care Following Pregnancy Loss ad Perinatal Death were officially launched by Minister for Health Simon Harris in Farmleigh House on Wednesday, 10th August, 2016.

Our chairperson, Deirdre Pierce McDonnell, was delighted to be at the launch along with our committee member, June O'Toole.
A step in the right direction towards a national standard of bereavement care.

Best of Luck in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon June 2016

Best of luck to all of you taking part in the VHI Women's Mini - Marathon this Bank holiday Monday on behalf of The Miscarriage Association of Ireland. For your convenience, we have a room booked in Buswells Hotel, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 from 12pm until 5pm where you can leave your bags.

After the race, there will be tea/coffee and sandwiches served (around 4 to 4.30p.m.). A committee member from The Miscarriage Association of Ireland will be present in the room throughout the afternoon.

Hope to see you all there and happy running.

VHI Women's Mini Marathon June 2016

The VHI Women's Mini Marathon takes place Bank Holiday Monday June 6th at 2 pm. It is a 10 km race (6.2 miles).

Every step makes a difference so if you are up for the challenge to take that step to getting fit, please keep The Miscarriage Association of Ireland in mind if you would like a charity to sponsor.
